Im Rahmen der Vorstellung der nächsten großen Initiative von Microsoft namens "Live" (whatever!) sind die versammelten Blogger daran gegangen, die als äußerst schlecht empfundene Präsentation von Mr. Gates der wie gewöhnlich gut gelungenen Präsentation von Steve Jobs ("One more thing …") gegenüberzustellen. Wobei für den kleinen Gelegenheitspräsentierer unter uns Angestellten der ein oder andere Tipp abfällt:

How can the most successful technology company in history, run by the richest man in the universe, stand in front of the world with such incredibly lame slides in their presentation? They look like something put together by a high school kid who just discovered clip art and shaded backgrounds.
- Gates, Jobs, & the Zen aesthetic und auch das nächste Zitat sind von Garr Reynolds, dessen Seite Presentation Zen sicher noch viele Anregungen bereithält.
"Visual-Zen Master," Steve Jobs, allows the screen to fade completely empty at appropriate, short moments while he tells his story. In a great jazz performance much of the real power of the music comes from the spaces in between the notes. The silence gives more substance and meaning to the notes. A blank screen from time to time also makes images stronger when they do appear.
- Bill Gates and visual complexity
It may seem like a small thing, but you have to be careful with the implied messages sometimes hidden within images. This is especially true across cultures.
